Sunrises, Sunsets, and Moonbeams: Back to the Farm

On Saturday, April 5th we went to the Rutledge-Wilson Farm. The day was sunny and wonderful! We were able to see chickens, pigs, horses, goats, sheep, and cows. After visiting the animals, we walked to the ponds and went to the new play area.

Family Funnies and Precious Moments

(December, 2008) Braden loved singing the Christmas song, "Feliz Mommydad". He didn't realize it was actually the words "Feliz Navidad".
(December, 2008) Andy had just listened to the song, "Grandma Got Ran Over By A Reindeer" and thought it would be funny to tell Braden this. Braden became very upset, had tears in his eyes, and said, "No, she didn't!" Andy persisted and Braden came to me with those big crocodile tears in his blue eyes, "Mommy, grandma didn't get run over by a reindeer, did she?" He was very happy to hear the answer "No, Andy's just joking you." Aren't big brothers fun?
(September 2, 2008) Andy was explaining to Braden that it was Mommy and Daddy's anniversary so that's why there were balloons in the living room. Andy told Braden he needed to wish us a "Happy Anniversary." Braden came up to me and with his little cheesy, smiley face said, "Happy Annibirthday, Mommy!"
(March 25, 2008) When seeing that his Dad had accidentially knocked down a shelf and broke several knick knacks, Braden became very upset. He had the perfect way of dealing with the incident, though, when he came up and said, "Mommy, daddy knocked down the shelf. He needs a big time out."
(February, 2008) Braden came to me and said, "Mommy, baby sister talked." I looked at him quite surprised and asked him what baby sister said. In a very serious tone he replied, "Underwear." So Scotlyn's 1st word, at only 3 months old, was underwear!
(December 25, 2007) Braden's Aunt Jane asked him what he wanted to be when he grew up and he replied, "A superhero."
